Educational Qualification

. (i) A degree in Food Technology or Dairy technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agriculture Science or Veterinary Science or Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology or Masters Degree in Chemistry or Degree in Medicine from a recognized University. or any other equivalent/recognized qualification notified by the Central Government; and (

ii) has successfully completed training as specified by the Food Authority in a recognized institute or institution approved for the purpose: 

(Note:- There is no requirement for training prior to selection. This training shall be provided to the selected candidates during probation period.) Provided that no person who has any financial interest in the manufacture. import or sale of any article of food shall be appointed to be Food Safety Officer under these rules. 2. Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri Script and knowledge of Rajasthani Culture.

Candidate should be within 18 - 40 years of age.

Online Applications are invited from Indian Citizens and such other national as declared eligible by the Government of India for recruitment to the post of Sr. Ayurvedic Medical Officer in West Bengal Ayurvedic Health Service under Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal.

Scale of Pay: Rs.15600/- --- Rs.42000/-, [PB 4A, Grade Pay – Rs. 5400/-]. Other allowances shall also be admissible as per existing Government Rules.

Qualification:
Essential :
(i) A five years’ degree in Ayurved from a University established by law or a statutory Board or Examining body of Indian Medicine or its equivalent as recognized under Indian MedicineCentral Council Act 1970 and .

(ii) Knowledge of Bengali – Spoken and Written.
Note – Candidate must be registered either in Part A of the State Registrar of Ayurvedic Medical Practitioner maintained by the Paschim Banga Ayurvedic Parishad or in Part I of the Central Registrar maintained by the Central Council of Indian Medicine.
