“Recruitment against Open Advertisement Sports Quota for the year 2018-19”

Central Railway invites ONLINE applications from the eligible sports persons who are citizens of India, for filling up 21 posts of the Sports Quota (as in item 2) for the year 2018-19 over Central Railway. The posts are open to all regardless of Community. There is no reservation for SC/ST/OBC. Further, only the candidates qualified in the Selection Trials shall be called for further process.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
 Age Limit
Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01/01/2019. Candidates born between 01/01/1994 and 01/01/2001 (both days inclusive) should only apply. Candidates born on or before 31/12/1993 are not eligible. Similarly, candidates born on or after 02/01/2001 are also not eligible. (No relaxation in lower or upper age limit for any Community of candidate).

 Educational Qualification:
Levels Educational Qualification
 Minimum Graduation in any faculty from a recognized University.
 Passed 12th (+2 stage) OR its Equivalent Examination
OR
 Passed Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship
OR
 Passed Matriculation plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.
 Note: 1) Diploma in Engineering will not be considered as an  alternative higher qualification

The benefits of reservation of vacancies are admissible to:

1. S.C./S.T./B.C (Non Creamy Layer) candidates of West Bengal only. BCN candidates should renew/revalidate their BC certificate in due time. The S.C. /S.T. /B.C. candidates of other States shall be treated as general candidates.

2. Meritorious Sportspersons in the area of International Competition, National Competition, Inter-University Tournament and National Sports/Games for School Education in the following list of Sports:-

 Gross emoluments at the entry level: Rs.10, 700/- besides D.A., M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.

Qualifications: A candidate must have the following qualifications which should be clearly stated in the application. The qualifications prescribed in the advertisement are as per the notified recruitment rules issued by the Govt. Candidates must fulfil the qualifications by the closing date. 

(i)Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Commerce from a recognized University 

ii)An elementary knowledge in computer operation and computer typing from a registered and reputed Institute for not less than 6(six) months.

 (iii)Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required in case of Nepali speaking candidates from hill areas of the State) 

Age: Not more than 39 years as on 01.01.2018 (i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1979).
